Raising Tech Safe kids
In 2018, the Pathfinder Club at the Billings Adventist Church partnered with Project Patch to present this FREE information-packed seminar for parents, grandparents, and mentors . Chuck Hagele, CEO of Project Patch taught skills to counter the risks of technology including pornography, gaming addiction, and social media. Once you listen, you will come away feeling even more confident with your role in helping raise great adults.
Do you know what your kids are doing online?
Many parents tell us it feels like a never-ending game of “whack a mole” when they try to keep their kids safe online. Some try to “pull the plug” and keep their kids off line while others give up trying to police their kids’ content. There is a viable option.
This free workshop is devoted to helping your kids in a world with threats like pornography, video games and social media. This seminar focuses on reducing the vulnerability of your kids and increasing behaviors that make them self-disciplined.
Key points include understanding, setting goals, communicating about media experiences and building resilience. This seminar will help you and your kids be on the same team.
There were four meetings. There are also some handouts available by clicking the links.
